Arithmetic Statistics
Given that the numbers of eggs sold in each of the three months are in the ratio 2:3:4, it follows that of the eggs sold in the three-month period were sold at an average of $1.26 per dozen, were sold at $1.20 per dozen, and were sold at $1.08 per dozen. Therefore, the average price per dozen of the eggs sold in the three-month period was  = $1.16.
The correct answer is D.
